Gold-filled products are not recommended for diabetics and some medical conditions may cause products to tarnish. Gold Filled products as these items contain a mixture of other metals. Diabetics can have a more acidic sweat than non-diabetics, so the mixed-metal is more likely to cause irritation and cause the product to tarnish, peel or flake. Stainless steel is highly suggested for Diabetics instead of gold filled or gold plated.
